Partially :)
I have encountered some problems with unionfs while testing 1.1-BETA3, they seem to cause hangup on some PC.
So I need to revert changes in Frenzy loader for non-unionfs boot method (which was in 1.0). Also I want to add patches, which allow to boot Frenzy from FAT partition using GRUB (volunteer help).

So I must say that Frenzy is not dead and slowly (very slowly, I suppose) moving to 1.1 release :)

Lite version will be available after release, BETA and RC build will be only 'standard'.
There is no standalone 'USB Flash' version at the moment. You can install Frenzy to USB Flash - boot from LiveCD and run 'install2flash' script.

There no 'official release plan'. Now I am preparing to RC1, test builds available (only Russian). RC1 must be finished until end of May 2008. After RC1 out (in Russian and English) and final testing there will be 1.1-RELEASE.

It is a good news that Frenzy 1.1 will be based on FreeBSD 6.x.

It is reported that ntfsclone does not work with FreeBSD 7.0-RELEASE.
And I myself has just experienced the same problem.

Ntfsclone is a necessary tool for system administrators, which
frenzy should support.
