Frenzy - FreeBSD-based LiveCD

  Big problem with booting

I downloded Frenzy-1.0-ext-EN.iso and burned into CD.
Tried to boot up from CD but just few seconds after booting PC goes into restart. I can see only "booting from cd..." message before restart.

Same thing on 3 diferent PC's.

Very strange issue...
1. Do you burn image to CD-RW or CD-R disk?
2. Have you checked the iso-image md5 checksum, is it correct?

1) CD_R disk (acme), burned at 16x.
2) md5 sum OK.

Try to boot from this CD-R in VMWare, Virtual PC or any other virtual machine. Does it boot properly there?

After some reading I learned how to use "Boshs 2.3". It boots ok in Boshs. At least no auto reboot. But I want real BSD PC not wery laggy emuliation on Win XP. :(

Sry, mistyped not "Boshs 2.3", but "Bochs 2.3" from:

Have you tried any other LiveCD's, are they boot OK?

My friend has the same problem ! During the boot we can see the message about eror and then pc reboot (

techniX, no I did not tried other Frenzy CD's, other CD's do not have soft whitch I need and they are useless for me. :(

Hi !

Because the acpi work in FreeBSD is in development try to boot the computer with acpi disabled or in safe mode.
Hope it will help !
